This second one is near ot the first - a couple of houses further east. This one has significantchanges to the original Buka desing - the most striking being that the curved rock wall with the stairway in the living area is not there - instead a wooden stairway toa more rectangular design. |

When we left Lovina last February, two houses were being built using the Buka plan, but they were not far past the foundations. Now in September, both of these are finished, and our first commitment was to check them out. They are about 6-8 blocks west of our block, and first we looked at the one that is further west and we kept referring to this as Buka 1. The Pool and the Terrace | Terrace and Pool |
The left image looks across the pool to the terrace in front of the bedrooms. Dian is walking across the wooden deck with his camera/phone in action. In the photo on the right Dian is in action again on the terrace in front of the downstairs living space. You can see how tall the doors and rooms are, |

Since our plan is to move to Bali early next year - as part of my retirement plan, I watch with interest for information of others who have done the same. Here is a story of Belinda and John from Australia who are now looking after one of the few lawn tennis courts in Bali. |

Website of Bali Beach Garden Projects Yesterday we finally got our hands on the money from the sale, and then arranged to send the next payment to Bali which brings us up to 50% of the full amount that we initially planned. Next we will go to Bali late this month for 3 weeks so that we can work with Jeroen and his team from Bali Beach Garden Projects to finalize details before the building commences. Website for baliyes.com Earlier this year I wrote about Seeking Web Names and among others thought about baliyes.com and baliv.com. I then spent time thinking of baliyes, and started creating mock-ups of the site. I had not bought the name, but kept chekcing from time to time to see it was still there - until yesterday. Then I found it had been bought on August 25! I was really mad to have been so slow to grab it. There is the beginnings of a site in place as shown - you can take a close look at baliyes.com |

Summer Hill For Sale We started the process soon after we came back from Bali. We arranged an inspection and decided that the best prosepcts would be with the house vacant - rather than showing it tenanted. We left for our US trip on May 10, so left it to the agents to get it vacant, do some minimal repairs and painting, then get it on the market. It now is on the market, so we are waiting and hoping. |
