Stranded pleasure boat
Stranded pleasure boat

Each morning as I have walked with Chonki down the beach I have seen these two pleasure boats with outboard motors anchored a short distance out, with ropes to the shore.  Then last Wednesday(18th), one had broken from its anchor and was beached.  Some guys were trying to move it but I did not wait to see the outcome.
Next morning (Thu), it was in the water semi-submerged, and looked a sorry sight.  I thought of the "dreams" the owner must have had - hours of cruising pleasure.  But I have never seen signs of either boat being used - I wonder where the owners are?  You can imagine the damage bill rising as the salt water has its way.

Friday morning, and it has been dragged out up beach with an added touch of tender loving care - the blue tarpaulin.
