As the area is located on a hill 1,460 meters above sea level, it is cool all the year round and one can feel chilly in the morning and at night. Kintamani volcano has a double crater volcano, where volcanoes erupted three times in 1927, 1929 and as recently as 1947 at the center of a lake formed in a crater that resulted from a eruption long time ago, with unique shape that look similar to a Korean bowl. Even now, smoke is emitting from the crater with frames and a lot of ashes that makes one wonder how soon it will erupt again.  Mt Batur seen from Kintamani Text from www.korindo.co.id |
