On the road from Bedugul to Singaraja you first pass Lake Bratan where there is a Hindu temple on the shore.  The road crosses from one lake to the other (Lake Buyan), then it suddenly climbs up Mount Catur which is part of the volcanic ring.  Part way up you find a colony of monkeys.  You can buy bananas to feed to them, and they watch keenly, can catch thrown food, and then eat.
